Uusi muotovalio - A new champion

Sunnuntaina suuntasimme Vollen keulan jälleen kohti Pelloa. Kylläpä siellä viimeisen vuoden aikana on tullut käytyäkin, tosin paikka on tuttu meille myös sillä lailla, että Make on kauan sitten opiskellut siellä parin vuoden ajan.

// On Sunday we travelled once again to Pello. During the last year we have been there several times. Though we know the town from the previous time because Make studied there once about two years.

Tällä kertaa kuitenkin suuntasimme - jälleen - koiranäyttelyyn. Meidän koirista mukaan oli ilmoitettu Pimu ja Tito. Tuomarina kaikille villakoirille oli Nina Karlsdotter Ruotsista, joka oli arvostellut Hessun Överkalixissa 2011. Isovillakoiria oli ilmoitettu näytille kuusi kappaletta, viisi oli paikalla (yksi uros ja neljä narttua). Kaikki saivat SA:n ja Pimu jäi paras narttu -kehässä neljänneksi (sert meni kakkoselle), joten ei siitä sen enempää. Paitsi arvostelu, joka oli varsin hyvä ja ihan Pimun näköinen. Tosin viimeinen lause hieman hymyilyttää: Pimu roikkui enemmän hihassani kuin juoksi asiallisesti :) : "Feminin huvud med bra mejsling. Hakan borde vara mer markerat. Bra öron & ögon, utmärkt hals, bra överlinje. Svansen borde bäras lite rakare. Bra kropp & proportioner. Bra benstomme, fina fötter, välvinklad & välgående. Utmärkt tätt päls, fina, långa snören. Välpresenterat." Tulos siis AVO ERI, AVK 2, SA, PN4. Kuvat á la Ronja: suurkiitos niistä!

//  This time we went to a dog show in Pello. We had registered Pimu and Tito there. The judge for all poodles was Nina Karlsdotter from Sweden, who had judged Hessu in Överkalix, Sweden in 2011. There were five standard poodles in the show, one male and four females. All got a CQ and Pimu was 4th in the Best Female, so no CAC for her this time. Here her critique,s where the last sentence was funny: the most of the time Pimu hung on my sleeve :): "Feminine head, well chiselled. Chin should be more marked. Good ears and eyes, excellent neck, good topline. Tail should be carried straighter. Good body & proportions. Good bones, fine paws, well angulated & well moving. Excellent, thick coat, fine, long cords. Well presented." Pimu got EXC, AVK2, CQ, BF4. Thanks to Ronja for the pictures!

Keskikokoisia uroksia oli paikalla neljä kappaletta, näistä Tito ainoana avoimessa luokassa, muut olivat nuorempia. Siinä Titoa kehään viritellessäni tajusin yhtäkkiä, että yksikään uros ei ollut saanut SA:ta! Kuitenkin tuomari oli isovillakoirille jakanut SA:ta varsin avokätisesti. Jännitys nousi suunnattomasti. Tito käyttäytyi kehässä äärettömän asiallisesti ja esiintyi hyvin. Titon arvostelu: "Fint mejslat huvud. Välmarkerat haka. Bra ögon & öron. Utmärkt hals & överlinje. Svansen ok. Välutvecklad kropp. Bra benstomme. Harmoniskt vinklad. Spänstig steg. Riklig päls, kvaliten ok, rätt bra spänst, bra färg. Välpresenterat." Tällä irtosi AVO ERI, AVK 1, SA, PU1 SERT, VSP ja FI MVA! Vau! Vähän minun piti pidätellä henkeä, kun kehäsihteeri sanoi Titon saatua SA:n, että sitten parhaan uroksen valinta. Säikähdin, että näinkö minulta oli jonkun koiran tulos mennyt ohi silmien :) Mutta ei: meidän uusi valiomme, ensimmäinen ikioma-kasvatti-valio oli totta! Jess! Tämä on ollut melkoinen projekti kaiken lihasmassan kasvatuksen ja toistuvien turkinhoitosessioiden kanssa, mutta nyt Tito on valio! Kiitos koko tiimillemme! Pimun kanssa jatketaan edelleen näyttelyiden kiertämistä, Tito on seuraavan kerran esillä Oulussa pidettävässä villakoirien erikoisnäyttelyssä toukokuussa. Muita näyttelytavoitteita meillä ei sen varalle Suomessa tällä hetkellä ole.

// There were four medium-sized poodle males participating. Tito was the only one in the open class, the others were younger. When I was preparing Tito for the ring I suddenly realised that none of the males had got a CQ! And I knew that the judge had given several CQ:s to standard poodles. So, I was pretty excited when entering the ring. Tito behaved extremely nicely and performed well. His critiques: "Nicely chiselled head. Well marked chin. Good eyes and ears. Excellent neck and topline. Tail ok. Well developed body. Good bones. Harmoniously angulated. Sassy step. Rich coat, quality ok, pretty good elasticity, good colour. Well presented." And he got EXC, AVK1, CQ, BM1, CAC, BIM and FINNISH CHAMPION! Vow! I was very excited when Tito had got his CQ and the secretary said that now we'll choose the best male. I thought I had missed another male's CQ :) But no! Now we have a new champion, my first myself bred champion is real now! This has been quite a project with exercising Tito a lot and taking continously care of his coat. But now he is a champion! Thanks for our whole team! Pimu will be taken to shows still, but for Tito we have planned the poodle speciality in our home town as an only show in Finland.
