Haukkua halki historian; museossa - visiting a museum

Maakuntamuseossamme eli Pohjois-Pohjanmaan museossa (tunnettu myös Ainolan museon nimellä) on nähtävänä Haukkua halki historian -näyttely, joka kertoo koiran historiasta ja nykypäivästä, mm. eri harrastusmuotoja on esitelty. Kävimme tänään tutustumassa siihen. Mukaan näyttelyyn oli päässyt muutama villakoira-aihekin. Suosikkini on kyllä lehti-ilmoitus Oulusta vuodelta 1834, jossa etsittiin kadonnutta kähäräkarvaista puudelia:

// There is an exhibition named "Barking through history" in the museum of our county. The exhibition is about history and present of dogs and for example different dog events are shortly presented there. We visited the exhibition today and there were even some poodle themes there. My absolute favourite is a paper advertisement which was published in Oulu 1834 and where the owner was looking for his frizzy-haired poodle which had disappeared.

// There were two plush poodles from the past (unfotunately I cannot remember the year they are from)

Myös kuva Edwin Landseerin maalauksesta Trial By Jury selityksineen oli hieno (villakoira symboloi  Britannian oikeusministeriä).

// I liked also the painting Trial By Jury of Edwin Landseer. There was an explanation for the painting in the exhibition and the poodle symbolizes the Lord Chancellor.

Nuoruuteni koirarodusta siperianhuskysta oli rotujärjestö tehnyt näyttelyyn todella hienon esittelyn. Ehdottomasti hatunnoston arvoinen uurastus!

// The breed club of the breed of my youth (that means siberian husky) had done an extremely great presentation of their breed. This is really worth an honour!

Suosittelen näyttelyyn tutustumista kyllä kaikille (koira)ihmisille! Huomatkaa, että se on nähtävillä Oulussa "vain" 10.3.13 saakka! Tätä ei todellakaan kannata jättää käymättä.

// I really recommend anybody, especially ones who like dogs, of course, to go and see this exhibition! Just notice that it will be in Oulu only until March 10th 2013! You'd better not miss it.
