Kaikki pennut meille jäänyttä toistaiseksi nimetöntä pentua lukuunottamatta ovat muuttaneet uusiin koteihinsa ja saatujen viestien mukaan kaikilla kuulostaa menevän ihan mukavasti. Voisi ajatella, että elämä asettuu täällä meillä vähitellen jälleen uomiinsa. Niin voisi.

Torstain iltalenkillä huomasin, että Leya liikkuu oudosti. Unohdin asian. Perjantain aamulenkillä sama juttu. Perjantai-iltana leikkasin Leyan kynsiä ja silloin huomasin, että sillä on outo patti toisen etujalan varpaiden välissä, siellä alapuolella. Viikonloppuna osasimme kaikki tarkkailla Leyaa ja huomasimme, että se aristaa ja varoo tuota jalkaa.

Tänään käytin Leyan lääkärissä. Luulin, että kyseessä on paise tms helposti hoidettava juttu, antibioottia vain ja vaiva on ohi. Mutta ei: ohutneulanäytteen ja patin ulkoisen olemuksen mukaan kyseessä on ihokasvain :( :( :( Ja koska se on kasvanut vauhdilla (konetin Leyan varpaat ennen kuin menimme kuvauttamaan keskariperheemme Saryn studiolle enkä huomannut sen varpaanväleissä yhtään mitään erikoista), Leyalle on varattu aika leikkaukseen huomiselle.

Voi Leya-parka! Todella urhoollisesti ja reippaasti se on ollut Pimun apuna pentujen kasvatuksessa ja hoidossa, näyttänyt nauttivan joka hetkestä. Ja nyt kun sekin saisi hengähtää, niin tällainen on edessä. Eläinlääkärin mukaan ei edes mikään helppo leikkaus, koska kasvain on kohtuusuuri, vaikeassa paikassa ja vielä sellaisessa kohdassa, joka liikkuu paljon ja helposti, jolloin paraneminenkaan ei ole helppoa. Voi Leya-rukka :( :( :(
